We welcome you into our home and hearts! This week marks the beginning of a new season in the Lester family. We have such a wonderful priveledge of going out and building a team, or group of people that feel the weight of eternity, and believe in our part in swaying by serving. Pray for us as we look to the horizon. -W

2 year blog sabbatical

I signed up for Google+ and this blog showed up on my newly formed profile. The rediscovery was a mix of emotions; nostalgic over old posts and a measure of guilt over not writing more. Live and learn.

Jackson and Liam are 2 years old and very healthy and active! These boys don't really stop moving. Mimi is a constant reminder that the boys come by it naturally. My bad, Gela.

We are still living in Huntsville, Texas and still involved in The Journey Fellowship as well as Chi Alpha. This fall I am resuming classes to make the break for the finish line of my bachelors degree. Lord, be with us all.

Praying for the Lester's:
-Godly attitudes through the 2's
-Diligence & favor academically
-Calmness instead of claustrophobia
-More trust in the Lord
-Refocus of friendships not hardships

Grace & Peace,
Will

Blessings not Burdens

[catch up from last post...

Jackson Ray Lester and William Ransom Lester were born a minute apart in the sunny afternoon of May 29th of 2010. It was a surprise admitance to the hospital and a rushed delivery due to prevention of imminent complications. To wrap the beautiful breath taking experience into a few words;
surreal, grateful, worship, nervous.

Months 1-3; rough without sleep, but worth every 'not enough caffeine in the world' moment. Watching them learn the basics of life like eating and sleeping patterns is an adventure like no other.

Months 3-6; learning the importance of schedules and sticking to them, especially bedtime schedules. The boys are learning exciting new things like rolling over and eating from a spoon!

Months 6-8; intense growth, knowledge, curiosity, and adaptation! They are learning to sit without support, eat with their hands, and sleep through...almost through the night!

...loosely but officially caught up]

Jack & Liam are 8 months old now and have been an absolute delight every moment, not dependent on our sleep deprivation or lack of parental confidence. The boys are cruising around the coffee table, self-sufficiently playing with toys and each other, and have made it through all the baby foods without allergies!

Little did we know... twin parenthood is celebrity-status. We cannot go anywhere in public without being stared at, talked to, or drowned in 'aww's. If the establishment has a high population of elderly people; we might as well be signing autographs...but, as we get more sleep and learn more and more; becoming less selfish, self-conscious and scared; we realize what once annoyed us very much is an incredible tool to talk to people and use our boys to minister to people.

The number one saying from our fans.. "Double Trouble".. a great and straightforward opportunity to tell them that they are blessings of dignity and responsibility from the Lord, and to think otherwise would contradict our intended nature.

Grateful for the Holy Spirit's compassion on parenthood,
Will

Approaching May...

Gela and I are entering what seems to be our last month of pregnancy!! The "Estimated Due Date" being June 21st, and twins rarely passing 37 weeks, that puts our boys arriving no late than May 31st. Gela goes on bed-rest May 1st, signaling that May will be our efforts to keep J&L in to as late in the month as possible!

Thanks to everyone! Support from family, advice from friends, community within the body of Christ, and all the generous people giving gifts! All this put together (along with sweat and elbow grease put into nesting and nursery prep), we feel more ready than we ever have!

Gela and I are so ready to meet the boys it's tough. But we know the best thing for them is to keep them in there as long as possible! Please keep praying for us four. Thank you all so much!

Moving Day!

Today we moved into our new house!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped! (Margaret Grandma Kidd, Kevin Welch, Norm Nickle, Cody Miller, and Alex Rushton) You guys made it easier than it ever should have been!!

It's a pretty great feeling to be into the house. Setting our roots a bit deeper with the greater ability to nest before Liam and Jack make their debut! It's a HUGE blessing that we actually have a nursery!! On top of the fact that we have a guest bedroom for grandmas, friends, and missionaries!!

It's already so obvious that the Lord is doing great things in the house. It seems like a more tangible opportunity for cultivating relationships and having fun.

Home sweet home,
Will

Coffee Oak

The past two days were incredibly grueling but somehow very fun at the same time! Between yesterday and today the work hours total.. 30!! But the bruised knees and tired hands are worth the incredibly beautiful floor that runs throughout our entire home!! Thank you to everyone that helped!! (Abbe MIMI Lester, David Sanchez, Ryan Jones, Kevin Welch and Norm Nickle!!) I could not have laid that floor that quickly without everyone's help! I thank the Lord for you all!

The flooring is Supreme Lock, it's a laminate product and the color is "Coffee Oak". It has a sound pad attached and we installed a vapor barrier beneath it. The whole depth is 10mm which is great and making it sound very good! Not echoey even with nothing in the house.. we take care of that tomorrow!

Exhausted yet excited,
Will

Settlers Way!!

Today we signed the contract on the house nestled quaintly on Settlers Way! We immediately sprung into action and ripped out all the carpet, tack strips, and padding. The process was sped up by the help of Norm Nickle, one of my closest buds. We literally stacked every bit in the back of his truck and drove that mountain to the city dump! And after a thorough cleaning, we called it a night! Thank to everyone that helped! (Abbe MIMI Lester, Norm Nickle, Ryan Jones, Kevin Welch, Trey LaBrie, and David Sanchez!)

Grateful,
Will
